Durban South Cold Storage has 10 000 Square meters of space available. We are specifically targeting clients that are in search of a quality logistics solution. We have a 8000 pallet store with a Drive-In racking system and 5000 high cube pallet slots.

    We are proud to inform our clients that our Top Of the range  cooling plant has a minimal environmental impact as we have a freon R22 cooling system as opposed to the ammonia system.
  2. Advanced Security Systems, CCTV and CCTV recording of all camera stations.Security system, internal and perimeter with infra-red beams, security personel & and armed reaction & monitoring.
  3. Ambient storage facility capable of handling 400 pallets.
  4. Top Quality materials Handling Equipment which include;
    - 16 Forklifts
    - 4 Electric pallet Jacks
    - 9 Dock levelers
    - Separate loading & off-loading areas.

STERI UPGRADE

Due to an increase in demand for sterilization of citrus for special markets, Durban South Cold Storage decided to upgrade our facility to handle special markets. With a 400 pallet capacity. With the completion of phase one in 2014.

In addition to steri chambers there is two new dock levelers and a new air-lock added so commercial loading does not get affected when steri is loading. 

Our intention has always been to provide our existing clients with the ability to handle their special markets, in addition to their commercial programs, through us, rather than to manage it through another facility. Through this upgrade we witnessed the improvement in results immediately, with improved cooling times, more consistent cooling and more efficient energy consumption. We are grateful to our clients for their wonderful support, and we always look forward to earning their confidence and trust.

Phase 2 of Steri upgrade started in November 2018 and was completed for the 2019 season with an increased capacity of 720 steri slots bring our total capacity to 1120 slots.
